Ways to Give

How to donate ????

There are many ways in which you could support us financially and however much you give us, by whatever method you choose, we will be so grateful for your generosity!

Here are at least 10 ways to get you started........

Regular Donations

We love supporters who give us money on a regular basis!

By setting up a regular monthly donation to Breathtakers you would be providing us with a steady income. The knowledge of this guaranteed cash coming in each month takes away some of the pressure of fundraising and enables us to focus our energy on developing our services further.

How can I make regular donations?

Whilst you are more than welcome to send us cash or a cheque every month, we find that most people prefer one of the following two methods:

Online with Justgiving
Breathatkers has partnered up with Justgiving. Justgiving.com is an excellent website that enables people to donate or raise money online. It's quick, easy, free and 100% secure for you to use. It's also tax efficient and reduces admin for us! If this method suits you click on the link below:

Standing orders with your bank

You can set up a standing order to Breathtakers- if you wish to do this please contact lynne@breathtakers.co.uk

One-off Donation

We value any donation, regardless of size, because they encourage us that there are other people out there who support the work we are doing.

If you'd like to give us a one-off donation here are a couple of ways in which you can do it...

Leave a Legacy

Where there's a Will there's a way...

Only 30% of people in the UK make a Will. A shocking statistic considering the benefits writing a Will can make to our loved ones and favourite causes. If you haven't got one please think about it...it's worth the time.

With all the will in the world to make a difference for children with a rare lung disease Breathtakers still needs money to make a real difference...where there's a Will there's a way...

Your good works can continue past the boundaries of your lifespan. Contact the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) for impartial and confidential advice on how to set up a Will.

We're doing all we can to help as many people as possible...Will you?

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is one of the most direct and convenient ways of donating regularly to Breathtakers. Providing your employer offers a Payroll Giving scheme, you can give a regular amount straight from your monthly or weekly income. If you are in the UK, because the pledged amount is deducted before PAYE tax, the donation is tax-free for you and the tax you would have paid goes to the charity instead.

What this means is if you pledge to give £10 a month, and pay tax at 22%, what it actually costs you is £7.80. This benefit is even greater if you pay tax at 40%.

How to set up Payroll Giving

Your employer should have payroll giving set up as an option for employees from your payroll department. If they don't have this set up already, it should be really easy for them to set up. They will need to get in touch with a payroll giving organisation to set it up properly.

You will need to let them know how much you want to donate, with what frequency (e.g. monthly, weekly), your full name, address, postcode and payroll number. It is quite likely that they have a form they may wish you to fill in. Most importantly, you will need to let them know the name of the charity you wish to donate to (Breathtakers) and the charity number (1125330).
