About Us

As the parent of a child diagnosed with Obliterative Bronchiolitis (OB) in 2005, I quickly realised that there is little information available for families affected by this rare disease. It is stressful enough trying to cope with all the implications of OB without being further frustrated by lack of understandable information. Isolation is frightening and many OB sufferers and their families believe they are alone. They are not.

You can contact me at lynne@breathtakers.co.uk or use our Contact Us page with any ideas, questions, worries or concerns and I will try to address them as best I can, like you I am learning more each day. If we share all our experiences of OB hopefully we can add to the limited knowledge bank about this devastating disease, without knowledge no progress can be made towards its treatment.

Our Patron- Tim Emmett

Tim Emmett is one of the UK’s top extreme sports athletes. When he’s not scaling a sheer rock face or diving head first off a cliff you’ll find him giving inspirational, energy-charged presentations to schools and businesses up and down the country. We are looking forward to working with him and being inspired by his irrepressible enthusiasm.

You get one life and one chance, so make the most of it. You choose whether you steer a path of positive or negative resistance. There are always three sides to every situation: The positive, the negative and the realistic. If you can steer towards the positive great things can happen. Follow your heart, believe in your strengths, work on your weaknesses, pursue your dreams and be inspired’  Tim Emmett.
